Today, I’m writing about how you can make money as a book promoter. It’s true, and many people are doing it as a side hustle. If you go to Upwork or Fiverr, you will easily see many people making money by doing this simple task. You can do it too. Really, it’s easy. Not hard at all.
How to do it?
You just need the internet to promote the author’s book or e-book. If you decide to do this, create social media accounts based on the book’s niche.
Facebook Marketing:
Hopefully, by now, you have a Facebook account or Facebook page dedicated to a book niche. You’ll need to post about the books given by your clients. Just posting on a Facebook page or account is not enough. You should also post in Facebook groups by searching for book lovers, book suggestion groups, book review groups, etc. Additionally, if the author has written a romantic book, search for it on Facebook related to romantic groups and you’ll do the same as before.
X (Twitter) Marketing:
On Twitter, you’ll need to post on your X (Twitter) account, or if you have a book-niche account, post about the client’s book there. Now, go to the search bar and search for terms like “book recommendations” or “book suggestions.” You’ll find many people saying things like, “I’ve just finished these 5 romantic books. Suggest some more romantic or science fiction books, etc.” You can simply reply, suggesting your client’s book.
Social Bookmarking:
Social bookmarking is a way to save, organize, and share your favorite web pages or online content with others. Instead of keeping links in your browser’s bookmarks, you store them on a website, so you can access them from anywhere. It also lets you tag your links with keywords, making them easy to find and group by topic. Plus, you can explore what others are bookmarking, giving you new content ideas and helping you discover trending topics!
I hope you now understand what social bookmarking is.
There are various websites where you can list books. For example, all science fiction-type books in the world can be found here, and romantic-type books can be found there—essentially, directories of books. You can upload your client’s books to these platforms. Examples include LibraryThing and Instapaper, or you can simply search on Google for “book directories to sign up for.”
YouTube Marketing:
There are two ways to do marketing on YouTube. First, you can create a video about the book and publish it. You can also share your video on other social media accounts. Second, you can comment on other book reviewers’ videos, suggesting they read your client’s books.
Instagram Marketing:
Just post about the books on your Instagram account. You can also comment on other book-related accounts, suggesting they read your client’s books.
The same applies to Pinterest.
Amazon Book Club:
The Amazon Book Club is like an organization where everyone reads books. Amazon has a feature where you can create a book club, much like a Facebook group. There, you can chat about books, but this happens within Amazon. However, you don’t need to limit yourself to Amazon. There are many free book clubs online. If you’re interested, you can find them by searching on Google
